GHIT

The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund) is an international NPO to advance the research and development of new medicines, vaccines, and diagnostics from Japan to fight infectious diseases including Tuberculosis, Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in emerging countries and the developing world.

It was established as a public-private partnership between Government of Japan (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), Japanese pharmaceutical companies, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It facilitates global partnerships between Japanese and non-Japanese research and development organizations and fund promising research programs in order to realize advances in new health technologies.
